Sevastopol National Technical University invites the citizens of foreign countries to obtain higher education and receive the degrees of Bachelor, Specialist and Master of Science. The University also prepares foreign students for studying in other institutions of higher education in Ukraine.
Sevastopol National Technical University has the forth and the highest degree of accreditation.

PREPARATORY COURSE
Sevastopol National Technical University provides a 8 month preparatory course for foreign students which is obligatory for entering the institutions of higher education in Ukraine.
Preparatory course lasts from October till mid June and costs $1300.

The diploma received after the completion of the preparatory course allows students to continue their education at Sevastopol National Technical University or at any other institution of higher education in Ukraine.
HIGHER EDUCATION
The academic year comprises two semesters:

Tuition is $2200-2300 per year depending on the speciality chosen. Library, sport complex etc. are free.
The Bachelor’s degree requires 4 years of study, the Specialist’s and the Master’s degrees - 1 year of study beyond the Bachelor’s degree.
HOSTEL
The foreign students are provided with a room in a hostel. The cost depends on living conditions and amounts to $30 per month and more.
COST OF LIVING
The cost of living in Sevastopol averages about $100 a month.
MEDICAL SERVICE
Medical insurance is obligatory for foreign students. It is carried out by the state joint-stock insurance company ‘Ukrinmedstrah’ and costs $70-100 per year.
SEVASTOPOL
Sevastopol National Technical University is located in Sevastopol.
Sevastopol is situated on the Black Sea coast of the Crimean peninsula in the very south of Ukraine (former USSR).
Sevastopol was founded in 1783 but its history traces back to the ancient Greek colony called Chersonesus that sprang up in the VI – V centuries BC. Translated from Greek the name of Sevastopol means ‘town of fame, majestic, worthy of veneration’.
Nowadays Sevastopol is one of the most famous historical and cultural cities of Ukraine. It is famous for its museums, monuments and historical places. There are several theatres and art galleries, many schools, technical schools and colleges, libraries, institutions of higher education, research institutes etc. Sevastopol is a city with well-developed industry comprising a number of plants, factories and other industrial enterprises.
Sevastopol is also famous for being one of the most important Naval Bases of the former USSR.
The population of Sevastopol amounts to 500,000 people. Sevastopol is a multinational city, here you can meet people of Russian, Ukrainian, Greek, Tatar, Jewish, German origin and many others.
The language spoken in Sevastopol as well as on the major territory of Ukraine is Russian.
The Crimea is one of the most beautiful places in Europe. It is a mountainous region washed by the waters of the Black Sea.
The climate in the Crimea is rather mild, the average winter temperature equals to –5…+10? C, the average summer temperature is +28…+35? C.
How to get to Sevastopol
By plane
- to Simferopol. It takes 2 hrs to get from Simferopol to Sevastopol by train, bus or taxi;
- to Kiev, the international airport of Borispol. Then it takes about 18 hrs to get from Kiev to Sevastopol by train;
- to Odessa. There is no direct train from Odessa to Sevastopol, so you take train to Simferopol and then a train from Simferopol to Sevastopol.
By sea. You may travel by sea directly to Sevastopol or you may go by ship to the port of Yalta and then it takes 2 hrs to get from Yalta to Sevastopol by bus or taxi.

Having received the documents listed above we can send you a document - an official invitation on the basis of which the Embassy of Ukraine in your country will grant you an educational entry visa.
On coming to Sevastopol you should have the following documents:
- application for admission
- health certificate issued by national health authorities
- medical certificate conforming absence of AIDS
- birth certificate
- national passport
- certificate of secondary education
N.B.! We also recommend our foreign students to have native-russian dictionary.
Note: All the documents should have a written translation into Russian or English and be legalized by the Embassy.
The classes of the preparatory course begin on the 1st of October.
The invitation is valid till the 15th of November.
